School Safety Program
K9 Detection + Staff Training

Includes a 4-hour staff training course (Substance Recognition &
Response Training for School Staff) included for schools participating in the full program

Where Schools Are Facing Challenges

  • Staff are expected to recognize substance use, but trends continue to evolve
  • Policies are in place, but consistency can be difficult across staff and situations
  • Many approaches rely on reacting to incidents rather than preventing them
  • There is often no single system connecting training, detection, and response

Most schools have strong efforts in place—this program brings those efforts together into a consistent system.

What This Program Is

This is a structured, ongoing school safety program—not a one-time service.
It provides consistent K9 detection, staff training, and reporting as a single, integrated system throughout the school year.

  • Two on-campus K9 detection visits per month (approximately 2 hours each)
  • One Substance Recognition & Response Training for School Staff (4-hour course)
  • Ongoing reporting after each visit to identify trends and support decision-making

Delivered as a consistent, full-year program—not separate services.

Provides consistent, prevention-focused K9 presence within school environments to identify trends and areas of concern early.

  • Two scheduled K9 visits per month
  • Approximately two hours per visit
  • Conducted in coordination with school staff
  • Focused on identifying trends and areas of concern
  • Supports deterrence and early identification of concerns

Substance Trends in Schools: What Staff Need to Know

Practical training designed to help staff feel more confident recognizing and responding to current substance trends.

  • Current substance trends
  • Common concealment methods
  • Behavioral and environmental indicators
  • Practical awareness strategies for staff

After each visit, schools receive clear, prevention-focused reporting to help identify patterns and support informed decision-making.

  • Trend identification and pattern awareness
  • General environmental observations
  • Prevention-focused recommendations

Why This Program Works

This program works because it combines consistent deterrence, trained staff, and real-world insight into one system.

  • Two unannounced K9 visits per month create a proven deterrent and reduce opportunity
  • Regular presence shifts behavior—not just catches incidents
  • Staff training ensures personnel know what to look for and what to do when issues are identified
  • Training also provides documented, defensible preparation that helps mitigate liability
  • Reporting provides clear insight into trends, locations, and patterns so schools can focus resources where they are needed most

This is not about reacting to problems—it’s about creating a system that reduces them.

Who This Program Is Designed For

  • Public and private schools
  • Charter schools
  • Youth programs and facilities
  • After-school and community organizations

Built for Real School Environments

This program is designed based on real-world experience working in schools and youth-focused environments—not theory.
